Marietta St. Onge

cowboy_kissWhen faced with the decision to pursue a corporate career or to follow her heart and camera, Marietta decided to choose the aritistic path and become a photographer.   She started her career as an apprentice to a nationally renowned professional photographer, Gerri Karamesinis, M.photog, Cr.
After spending several years under Gerri’s tutelage, Marietta started her own company, Saint-Onge Portrait Design, LLC.  She spent many years photographing all types and styles of photography, but mainly focused on wedding photography.  Her many years photographing weddings, allowed her the ability to learn about people and gave her the flexibility to work with any kind of personalities, adapting her photography style to the one that the customer wanted.

After starting a family, Marietta decided to settle down a bit and focus on the types of photography that she loves.  Family portraiture and extended family portraiture hold a special place in her heart as she believes that family is the backbone of any person’s life.  High School Seniors and her new “teen” line are what keeps Marietta hip and trendy and in line with what’s happening in the world today.  Business and corporate events have had a major impact on her business, because of her close ties with her community.  Performing Artists and Model Sessions are a passion of hers as she has always been in love with music and theater.  Marietta used to be the lead vocalist and keyboard player in a band and currently takes guitar lessons.  Of course she won’t pass up the weddings that come her way and specializes in “destination events” all over the world.

Marietta strongly believes in community involvement and giving back in order to receive a fulfilled career.  She has donated her time and services to many organizations including South Windsor Schools PTO’s, South Windsor Chamber of Commerce, New Hope Manor, and CT VNA Hospice Services, among a few.  She has also lectured at Career days at the schools inspiring young students to look further into a career in the arts.

Marietta also has made a commitment to further her self and belongs to several professional associations including, Professional Photographers of America and especially the Connecticut Professional Photographers Association, where she holds the position of Vice President of Programs and Publicity.
